I have a feeling Jacobs was thinking the fanbase wants to restore the old rivalries and Clemson is the easiest one. All the surveys and such they have given, give me that opinion

Didn't know Jacobs had polled the fanbase. This makes better sense now - Just giving the fans what they want. Can't knock him for that.

We hadn't played them regularly since 1971. Hard to think of them as any kind of rival.

UGA - Clemson makes more sense than AU - Clemson IMO.
