how so? what does being a neutral site have to do with importance?
The game itself is obviously paramount not so much the location. I'm sorry but Texas Stadium is a better experience vs. BDS or Jordan Hare. That said, the importance of these OOC games is increasing therefore how best to facilitate? They are going to have to be neutral site mostly becuase its easier for both fan bases to attend. How many USC fans do you think would travel to Tuscaloosa vs. DFW? How many USC alumni do you think live in Alabama? How much easier is to fly to DFW from the west coast than to Tuscaloosa? How many more hotel rooms are their in DFW vs. Tuscaloosa? What sort of amenities does DFW offer vs. Tuscaloosa?
I'm pretty sure the vast majority of USC fans don't give a frick how nice Bama's campus is or care much about the "tailgating experience" or visiting BDS. They do care about the game and will attend if its convenient for them. I imgaine this holds true for fans from other parts of the country as well.

Texas Stadium is currently an empty lot with rubble laying all around.
So no. Its not a better experience.

The trip up to Arlington was great, but there is no way in hell that Jerry's World has a better fan experience than BDS or Jordan Hare. I agree with most of your points as far as a national exposure, but I can't agree with what you've said there.
Then also this
Can't agree here either. I would think many fans outside the SEC would love to come and visit a new campus and get to feel the whole vibe around campus. As a college football fan and a person who loves city seeing, I love traveling to different campuses and seeing a whole town thrive off of its university. The best thing to me is experiencing gameday there, seeing 100k-200k+ rapid fans get up for a game, and then seeing and learning new interesting stuff about the opposing university. A trip to Arlington is great and interacting with the other fans is fun, but there's nothing like traveling to an opposing teams stadium. The atmosphere, the campus, the women, and a variety of different foods really is what I look for in my trips.
