If I was running Public Relations over there, I'd choose a land shark as well. Y'all's fans love it, it has to do with the football program, and it comes with a hand gestures for the fans.
I think that was an obvious choice. honestly, It looks like the PR is full of a bunch idiots at OM.

A shark was a choice when they did the voting. But I think the voting was rigged by the administration. I feel the shark was voted a bunch. Buy they had their mind made up about the bear. Our administration can be stupid at times.

I agree! Plus, it was a genuine born tradition. It was not a marketing invention like some other "traditions."
