I knew Auburn played us here in 06 on Thursday. I forgot LSU played State on Thursday. Didn't know Bama played on a Thursday

But I'm pretty sure UGA, UF and UT have never played on a Thursday. And I've definitely seen some posters with the attitude of looking down on Thursday night games.

Just asking because I love opening the season on Thursday. Done it 9 out of 10 seasons under Spurrier I believe

Rudi Johnson (tirico's call is great).

Wouldn't it be nearly impossible to do tailgating in Aghens on a Thursday night?

Yeah I don't know how they'd do it.

Honestly Thursday games in Athens wouldn't work at all when you think about the timing of it with rush hour traffic in Atlanta. People who tried to come over from Atlanta after work would be screwed.

bama's game was georgia state. They moved it up to get an extra 2 days of prep for auburn.

Atlanta to Athens would be awful on a Thursday but at least the campus wouldn't be trashed.

Because the PA announcer cannot say "its Saturday night in Death Valley" on a damn Thursday.

Some of us begin our Friday morning at 5 am because we're not students anymore.

Traveling away is tough on a week night.

Schools lose revenue.

NFL is Thursday too.

Thursday night home games are for programs that are trying to get more exposure.

We don't need to do it, and as others have said:

- it would cost the city of Athens & the University too much money

- coming in from Atlanta would be a freaking nightmare. Traffic coming up I 85 is already close to being the worst part of the atlanta rush hour.

No thanks, we'll let the GA Techs, Arkansas' & MS States of the world get all that Thursday night "only game on" exposure.

Difference between Road and home. Auburn plays @KSU on Thursday. Two years ago @ MSU. Do not remember the last Thursday home game.
The last scheduled Thursday game in Auburn was the 1995 game against Mississippi State. The game, however, was postponed until that Saturday because of Hurricane Opal.

They also canceled classes because they couldnt have a game and classes on the same day. too much going on

Thursday night games are great for away games. opens up some time for me on the weekend

I'd hate to have a home game though, as I would probably not be able to attend

The NFL only started playing on Thursday because of how successful college games on Thursday were
