Not sure if it counts and honestly don't care but our men's pole vaulter has won back to back national championships.

Individual doesn't count. If they did, we'd be far and away #1.

Nicely done and thanks for an interesting OP!

Mizzou is woefully short on titles....but we did have the first in baseball. Shocking, I know.

And TAMU had the first in football!

I did see your link on their site but I thought this was correct? Correct me if wrong

The NCAA has never sanctioned an official championship in the highest level of football, now known as Division I FBS. Instead, several outside bodies award their own titles. The NCAA does not hold a championship tournament for Division I FBS football. In the past, the "national championship" went to teams that placed first in any of a number of season-ending media polls, most notable the AP Poll of writers and the Coaches Poll.

If Bertman keeps Pat Henry with a deserved raise and facility upgrades, LSU would be at 51+, or even more than the simple adds of Henry's ATM hauls to LSU's tally. As it took time there to get some recruits quickly and start raking more hardware. Instead Henry and his last returning natty champ LSU squad weren't even met at the BR airport by LSU brass, it was the last straw along with stonewalled facility requests..as Henry's national champ teams showered and changed clothes in their dorms!

Skipper's ego didn't mesh well with Saban and Henry. They were every bit as good or better at what they do as he was at his chosen profession, the way he saw it, there was only room for one top dog at LSU, especially when he was the AD.

I hope Pat Henry wins another 10+ before he retires.

National titles in 13 of the 21 sports we sponsor and far and away the most SEC championships of any school (218), anyone looking to get rid of Foley is not right in the head.
