7 in a row currently. UT beat Bama 7 in a row as well from 1995-2001. College football is very cyclical, even for big programs. Bama looked like a dead program that would never come back for most of the late 90's- mid 2000's. The big programs fall but they always seem to come back. LSU fans of all people should know this. UT will be back. All it takes is the right coach.

All the evidence anyone needs of this is just to look back through the history of the series. It is full of streaks.

I personally can remember holding up a number 7 sign in Neyland when I was young teenager (signifying the 7th game in a row we had won in that streak)

I can also remember seeing their fans holding up 7s in our stadium seven years later.

In addition to our series being streak heavy and cyclical... historically Tennessee is THE traditional power in the east. It is a fact.

Overall, Tennessee's tradition of winning football is second only to Alabama in the SEC and that is why we will always play each other. Might as well just get over it.
