Because playing Florida is hard man! And UT can't compete with Alabama.

Funny thing is that LSU fans were not complaining when Fulmer was beating Alabama on a regular basis and they got to play Zook for a few years.

We understand that Tn. is a bottom-feeder program now.
We just don't like when they get to play all of the cellar-dwellers from the east.

I find it disturbing that Tn. is struggling to stay ahead of Ky. and Vandy.

None of the chiming in from Tennessee fans during these discussion ever makes any sense to me. During the 90s LSU sucked and was getting beaten like a step child by Florida... we didn't care so much about Florida raping Tennessee or Tennessee beating Alabama because we sucked and even teams like Ole Miss and MSU were winning games against us.

Since LSU KO'ed Tennessee in 2001 their program hasn't been the same frankly. Tennessee has only beaten Bama when they've been bad (which is not an excuse for Bama since I don't care about either program), Florida and LSU have played some amazing games in a highly competitive series, and especially of late Bama has beaten down a beaten up Tennessee program.

It is what it is. Any betting person with a functional forebrain would bet on Florida, UGA, Alabama, LSU and perhaps USC, A&M, and Auburn to be more successful than Tennessee over any time period for the future. If Tennessee were to land an elite coach they would really be in a serious dogfight to keep him and he'd likely be interested in leaving for an easier place to win
