Even the most ardent bama fans should understand it was out of order when LSU was shunted to play UGA on the road while Bama got Kentucky. Bama was due to play UGA before LSU and LSU was due to play Kentucky.
It sure was out of order but you do know that the SEC had added two new teams and the schedule had to get moved around which was done by this guy from MSST.

I would have loved for Bama to get UGA vs UK.

The name of the person who supposedly had authority really doesn't matter in the least bit to anyone IMO. Words don't matter, actions matter. The actions taken were to rearrange teh schedule in a way that made no sense if the goal was to be either equitable or keep the normal rotation. LSU should have been @ Kentucky and Bama should have been playing @ UGA.
The Bama/UGA game would have been a highly interesting game that would have drawn big numbers to boot. It would have meant regular season matchups between A&M/USC, Auburn/UGA, LSU/Florida, and Bama/UGA. Instead what resulted was A&M/USC, UGA/LSU, UGA/Auburn, and LSU/Florida. The team that got an obvious pass was Alabama (note they are the only SEC team in the top half of the league not to play a major inter-divisional opponent). It was unfair to the other teams in the league and bad for the SEC not to showcase a major inter divisional matchup between all of the major teams from each division.
Like said before, Bama fans lost all ability to make the "just beat your opponents" argument when they were so upset about other teams scheduling bye weeks before they played... but I'm sure that won't stop more gumps from trying
