Just watched the supposed "horse collar" play. The biggest call missed on that play was the LT for A&M mugging our DE.

He had two handfuls of jersey. Our DE turned to chase the play and couldn't go anywhere because he was being mauled. Missing a play like that in the middle is one thing. A play like that on the outside should never be missed. The ref on the line has one freakin' job.

You realize that's legal, right? Every tackle does it on every passing play at every level. Grabbing inside the pads has been legal for decades.

And A&M sent in the tape and received an apology from the SEC, so it really isn't up for debate. The SEC admitted they fricked up.

There were many other reasons why we lost, though. Dropped INTs, missed tackles, Joeckal missing a wide open TE in the endzone and a terrible decision by Manziel on his second INT all played huge roles.
