How does he know she is really pregnant?
How does he know that they wont come back with a bigger gun? I mean, they are robbers, they aren't exactly trustworthy or predictable.

Who's to say they weren't running to get a weapon and come back and kill the old guy?
If I'm ever in that type of situation I'm lighting them up like we did Fallujah.
