Shot her twice in the back? Yeah, that's murder and not self defense. She was running away. The threat was over.

My thoughts. Even if he shots her, why shot to kill a pregnant woman who's no longer a threat?

The fight or flight impulse, however, was not over. The old man was fighting, the robbers were in flight. If I was on his jury I would not vote him guilty.
