True story. None of us were going to pour our canteen water on him - we were hot too.

He was saved by the piss.

Hell, that's what we had been taught to do. Just sayin' ... it worked.

At reunions we always kid around with him that not only was his internal thermostat reset but he also was rumored to have developed a golden shower fetish afterwards.

I have heard of this...just not experienced it first hand.


Constant hydration in the heat is a must, and don't wipe your sweat away. It serves a purpose cooling you off. If you get to the point where you stop sweating but you're still working...get help immediately
