2/3s of our issues are self inflicted and are directly related to our own drug and alcohol testing policy.

The bulk of the rest are that our AD has no 'control' over ACCPD and UGAPD.

It used to be in Athens that DUIs and bar fights were reported to Coach T and on to Coach Dooley. Most stuff like this was handled by the early AM stadiums with coach T. Parking tickets were handled. Most speeding tickets were handled and license and insurance issues did not end up in arrest. They didn't.
Players stealing from players or other athletes in McWhorter did not involve police. Running the book scam did not involve police.

Things have changed in Athens. I feel pretty strongly that they are not this way in a lot of other towns.

I am not condoning any of this behavior and beating up girls does not fall under what I discussed above. It's only real relation is that it is tied to the "problems" with our players and program.

Again, most of this is self inflicted and the difference is the environment, not the players or their actions when they are compared to other programs.
