Their offense will be drastically improved IMO.

This isn't much of a stretch.

I didn't say it was. The fact still remains, Driskel will still be QB. I just think the up-tempo will serve him well.

My point was this; it's almost impossible for either FL or Driskel to be worse than last year.

They don't really hate him. Thy make fun of him to demoralize Hog fans. Most are a little nervous hat he might actually make progress on bringing back Arkansas. Just my opinion, but.....

I think most really just don't like him. He's a tad abrasive. Either way, I'm not concerned about Arky being a powerhouse under him. They will probably be competitive eventually, but not a contender IMO.

I haven't been here during classes yet, but I get the vibe that Arkansas comes out to support all their sports teams more than most schools.

I lived in Arkansas for a couple of years and I would hear Arkansas fans say this. They genuinally believed they cared more for their school than other fans did.

Honestly, since I don't consider Ole Miss / Miss State being decent - to - good a "surprise". I am going to put Arkansas here. I think Vegas has their win total at 3.5 or something. I could see them overachieving and getting to 6-8 wins if EVERYTHING goes their way.

You should go to every home game as well as a couple away games. Football is a different world down here.

Arkansas very well could surprise folk. They have a phenomenal running game.

Also UT. They are ny sleeper pick. Maybe 8 wins.

I'm not sure how you did it but overall this is actually a pretty decent thread.

I like the 2 picks above me- Tenner or the hogs. Florida is too predictable of a pick to warrant 'surprise'.

A lot of people are going to be surprised at how bad Arky is

Yeah, they will be terrible this year. Their QB is worse than Trotter/Mosley. I will say, I was impressed with Rafe Peavey. I think he'll do well for them.

They should be improved. 8 starters returning on Offense and 7 on Defense. QB should be healthy this year, 2 stud RB's.

I think the kid just came across as so innocent and naive about what he's stepped-into here that everyone was just being big-brotherly to him or something.

Anyways, I was expecting it to have turned ugly by this morning. Glad to see everyone cutting him some slack ... for as long as it lasts.

This thread is just proof that the LNC are the finer human beings in this place.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you transferring from Purdue, and why did you choose Arkansas? ( not a troll attempt but a serious question)

It seems like people aren't expecting much from LSU this year (outside of maybe LSU fans) due to their roster turnover, but I could easily see them having a 10+ win season.

Arkansas, if we win 6 games, would surprise everyone on here. I think we have an outside shot at 7. Our whole season depends on Brandon Allen, most likely. They say he's healthy and improved. He's gone to QB camps this summer, etc. But until he wins us a game...really takes over and leads us while making good throws, I just won't have much faith in him. The defense, I believe, will look miles better than the past 2 years. They looked like completely different kinds of football players in the Spring.

BA might end up being truly terrible. He was last year, that's for sure. But he was a Sophomore starting in the SEC for the first time. That's never easy. With that said, he got progressively worse when he hurt his shoulder in the Southern Miss game. I don't think he's ever going to be Aaron Murray, but dismissing him after last season is a bit premature. Lets see how he does at Auburn and a few more games in 2014.

Where did you see him play? He looked fairly terrible in the spring game (just a few months removed from high school, so that's not a shocker). But I think you're right, he's going to be a nice player for us when he catches up to the speed of the game. Next year at the earliest for him to see situational snaps, IMO.

Peavey played really well in his HS all-star game. Might have been the under armour game. Can't remember...but he threw a TD pass.

I don't see any way we are worse than last year though
