Good to know. Arkansas has some really nice facilities which are apparently pretty new. Hopefully that will help the University attract some of the big name recruits!

Everyone in this league had great facilities. It's an arms race.

Arkansas' are very nice ... they have their Walmart money.

You're in for an education. Buckle-down and prepare to be amazed by the difference between the B1G and the SEC.

It's ridiculous how true this is.

It's funny some of the stuff we can come up with to spend money on. We have the nicest indoor track facility in the country and yet we just got done building an indoor baseball/track facility so the track team could have a place to warm up during meets. That's how you know you're rich.

Do you mean this in a good or bad way?

Academically, I think the SEC is pretty underrated. I realize Univ. of Arkansas may not have the prestige factor of Purdue nationwide, but it is very well respected within my field and ranks very highly on U.S News and World Report.

People give the SEC crap for academics, but when the average High School GPA at Arkansas is a 3.6 and ACT is a 25-29 for 75% of the class, you can't say they don't have some great students.

It's not the Big 10 in academics, but every SEC school is still very respectable IMO. :)

The B1G likes to play the academic card like the ACC does ... but that:s all BS in real life. Get a degree from any SEC institution and it'll get you in a door. What you do after you're in is up to you.

SC was just rated the #1 school for International Business by a couple of publications ... that's huge in today's global marketplace. But all the SEC schools have their specialized fortes in one thing or another.

Bert's team should be much improved and could shock some West teams this season.

Watch out.

They will be the surprise team in the SEC this season.

Seriously.

JK Bert is fat.

Arkansas ranks very highly in both law and architecture. I think a lot of it is regional. If you want to stay in the Midwest, a B10 degree is probably going to win you over a lot of employers. But for me, I'm personally interested in living somewhere in the South after graduation...so I think an SEC degree will serve my purpose just fine. Unless I try to take it to Baton Rouge.

A lot of truth in this statement.

Based on the predictions I've been seeing on tRant, an undefeated Alabama would surprise people.

I think Kentucky can turn some heads this year. Ole Miss is looking at returning like 70% or so thing of their players from their 2012 squad plus two solid classes. Tennessee under Butch has me exited. I love what he's doing over their.

As far as surprise people. I think Florida for the East, Miss St. for the west. And a dark horse to win the SEC even though they will probably be in the SEC title game, for me is South Carolina. I could see SCAR going undefeated or 1 loss into the title game and lose, but be a playoff team. Just hope Saban's concern he brought up about the losing later in the season hurting your chances in the playoff too, just like the BCS.

Meh Conner is legit, DL solid, Prewitt is overhyped like hes eric berry or some shite, OL solid, QB sucks, RBs awful, Treadwell. Solid but losses to ALA, AU, LSU, MSU, aTm. 6th in the west

Ummm, said no one ever. Maybe BigVolDaddy or some delusional butt chugger on here that thinks they'll have the number 1 recruiting class.

Incorrect. Don't know if they'll pull off any upsets, but they'll give some folks more than they bargained for.

OM is gonna sting one, maybe two of those teams. Just hoping it's not A&M.

But, hell, they're due to beat us, especially after the way we've squeaked by them the past couple years. Our luck, they'll play their best game at Kyle Field this year
