Well, you're also not mentioning that AU wasn't alone in that regard that season. As a matter of fact, I seem to recall Bama shutting out their very next opponent.

Besides, isn't it the general opinion of most Tidesters that the 2011 Bama defense was Saban's finest ever, and one of the greatest in SEC history? Seems to me being shut out under such circumstances isn't necessarilly an indictment of Gustav's coaching prowess, especially given his relative success against Saban in other years.

Right, but we all agree LSU's offense was terrible that year.
