tuscaloosa has simultaneously the best and worst fans i've ever seen. it's quite striking the divide.

I was at the LSU-Auburn game in 2007 as a neutral observer and saw a male LSU fan arrested for roughing up a female Auburn fan.

The worst I have ever been treated myself was in Oxford at the Ole Miss-Vandy game in 2012, I had a 50ish year old woman punch me in the back of the head because I wouldn't sit down with minutes to go in the 4th quarter of a very close game. She was an Ole Miss fan, I am an Ole Miss grad, we were both cheering for the same effing team.

The worst I have been harassed as an actual visitor was in Auburn by some old arse couple, it was during the old Jefferson Pilot 11:30 game and they weren't even drunk

LSU is similar. The good fans are awesome to be around, excellent tailgates, etc. The bad ones are horribly obnoxious and seem to operate in packs. Unfortunately it's really hard to avoid the shitty LSU fans. They roam around looking for trouble.
