and what exactly are you basing this on?

Talent on paper. All I can base it on currently. I think Bama can win 10+ games with a decent QB this year. Not saying I can guarantee that, no one can. But barring injuries and a complete failure at QB, Bama should be able to take LSU.

Let me break it down for you in simple terms. LSU will never win another national championship with les miles as the head coach. I will take a ban bet on that with anyone who wants some.

It's over guys, you had a decent run, but it's over.

There's a more convincing argument to be made that this is actually the case for Bama with Saban. He's attempting to transition to a more Chavis-like defense through recruiting but it remains to be seen if the square peg will ever fit the round hole.

You might be the most rustled one in this thread.

I'm just trying to help temper your expectations under your coach. I simply felt some objectivity was needed in this thread. Hope this helps out!

even on the road with the rookie QB? Not saying you are wrong but you sound overly confident.

I swear, watching the gumps post sometimes is absolutely glorious. It's definitely in the train wreck category. The simple nature of their entire posting strategy is the exact same for each of them. You can almost exactly guess what they're going to type in response to most anything before they put their hands to the keyboard.

No doubting that point. Both teams are good.

Not saying it'll be easy but yes. Somehow, someway Bama has been pretty immune to the "Death Valley dying dreams" aura. We're pretty solid there. I never said it'll be a cake walk but I've got the utmost confidence in our coaching, preparation, and talent that will be on the field this year. And if I'm wrong, I'll be the 1st one on these threads to congratulate LSU/any team that gives Bama an L this season.

How long is Miles going to live off that 1 championship he backed into with Saban's team?

Bama fans and anybody associated with the program should never talk shite about backing into a championship game.

Ever.

Pretty sure McElroy is caught up on the concept. He whipped Les and co. on the way to an undefeated Championship season.

"I want to give you one point too, about winning. Winning is a thing that is inherent to how you were raised. It is something you carry with you for a lifetime. And to pretend that it is brought, or deposited, at a place.....and left.....it is not.

It is always carried on by those participants and people that are there. PERIOD. Just, end of discussion."
So, is Les saying that LSU's football program was doing just fine before Saban arrived because "winning" was an inherent part of LSU? And it wasn't something Nick brought and deposited at LSU & then left?

If this is what Les is trying to say, then I think it's a great response to someone (Greg) that tried to discount Les, his players and the success they've acheived since Saban left LSU.

he's saying the reason LSU is successful isn't because Saban coached there for 4 year 10 years ago

And I'll bet you were one of the MANY who wanted him benched along the way.

17 pages? Really?

Let me guess, lots of Bama butthurt and insecurity.

Little bit of this, mostly a bunch of titty baby LSU fans puffing their chest out about a coach who has lost 3 straight to the TIDE though. You gotta take the good with the bad on the SECR friend.
