Take this for what its worth....
I called today. Went to cancel and they sent me to the cancelation department. Guy tells me that the deal will be done by the end of July, guaranteed.
I personally think the deal gets done.
Plus he knocks $20 a month off my bill for the next 12 months. So it worked out pretty good I think.
Hope the deal gets done....all of us college football fans have to have this.
Go tigers!

TWC is also telling people not to switch because they will have it by the first week of August. Not sure if there's anything to that or they're just trying to save customers from leaving.

Lots of indicators lately that DTV & Comcast are very close. The last few smaller cable companies that have closed the deal have increased the pressure on the major players to get it done so it's looking better every day for those saddled with the foot-draggers.
Edit: I see Comcast has announced so I'm betting DTV can't hold off much longer.

I also called yesterday and was told DTV will be on board before the start of the season.
He then offered to discount the subscription and throw in some extras to extend my contract. I politely declined and told them I would be switching if DTV is not on board by game #1.
