My dad's freshman year. He said Ears Whitworth cried after every game that season and vowed not to get beat so bad the next game. Thankfully, he was relieved of his duty soon after, for some other guy, and he became one of 6 people to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor for his Valor in Korea.
