State having two of the top 10 DB's in the SEC, according to ESPN, and then neither making All-SEC is also a joke. But then again none of our guys are big media personalities. Same reason McKinney and Jones aren't First Team.

Being a "media personality" doesn't have anything to do with it.
People don't watch Mississippi State football. Not even the media.

I think the mistake might be assuming ESPN knows more than local media.
