Evidently, it's not a money thing with Saban. Texas has already been surpassed by A&M. SEC is th best conference in CFB. Rebuilding would take 3 to 5 years(till retirement).

If Stoops had an inkling, that this amount had been offered, he would have probably took an early retirement.

Texas is in no worse a position as was Alabama was when Saban arrived. Saban had an undefeated regular season in year 2. With all the natural advantages Texas, it wouldn't take him more than a season or two to get them back into the national picture.

If Saban was at Texas, I doubt that would last any longer. Saban would sign a top 3 class on name alone every year he was there. I doubt conference affiliation would have much of an effect for a coach like Saban as much as it would on other coaches.
