Is it me or are 3 stars over-represented on our Oline?

Seems like we have had more than our fair share of 3 star guys starting in the saban years. caldwell, Vlachos, chapman, steen, warmack, and now kelly, brown, and sheppard, and i think im maybe missing someone. 4 star guys that started include jones, arie K, james carpenter, and then 5 stars like smith, fluker, cyrus K, and now cam rob. seems like we have had more 3 star guys than 4 and 5 star combined, which is not the surprising except that weve had so many stellar recruiting classes in that time. is this just an indication that oline is the hardest to project out of HS, or is it that guards and centers are under ranked by the services?

recruiting rankings are more about probabilities than prowess.

There are way, WAY more 3 star guys than 5 star guys. Hell if Alabama got every 5 star offensive linemen each year I'm not sure they would have enough guys to get through a season.

It's due to the difference in how recruiting services rate different positions. For example, last year there 52 WRs that were 4* or above compared to only 14 OGs

I hope I'm wrong but I think the OL is what keeps us from winning another championship this year.
