Lol maybe at a-day. He can play both DE/DT combo and NT like jesse Williams. He is worlds better than ivorys fat arse and everyone can see it just from a little of watching jarran. With the arrest that hurts him but don't kid yourself if you don't think saban isn't going to start the best 3 or best whatever anywhere. He did it with OL where the best 5 played even if they could play elsewhere. As far as geno smith goes, he was at star then and yes he got bumped back but he ended up changing position to FS anyways and started for haha during his suspension. Now he's opposite to Landon

That's a lot of speculation about Reed on your part. When he was signed, there was a growing belief/hope amongst fans on this and other boards that he was being brought in to compete at NT. Well, that's not how it worked out in the spring. He worked at DE in 3 man fronts and DT in 4 man fronts. This was also the case on A-day. The fact that he was working at 1st team DE ahead of Tomlinson, Allen, and Pettway among others indicates that CNS does view him as one of the top 3 DL. I guess he just disagrees with your assessment of Ivory.

Here is a quote from his JUCO coach last December:
quote:

He has a lot of things to really like. Alabama recruited him to play defensive tackle, not the nose. He is a four technique guy.
