Of course it is true or I would not have posted it.

As it was explained to me, the existing SEC Digital Network already offered downloads of archived games for a fee at one time. I was never aware of it but I was assured that they were there until it was deemed more profitable to do the archive deal with YouTube.

With the advent of the SEC Network one of the first things they decided to do sometime in February a year and a half ago, was to archive all inventory for download after the fact. They planto build a library over the coming years that will hold enormous value as time passes and will become a selling-point of the network in its own right ... for future subscribers.

Imagine the value of a library of past games ten, twenty, thirty years from now. They'll be able to offer it on an individual event basis, per game, or in seasonal gift packages. You'll be able to stream the games individually for free through the network, or order gifts, on whatever media is appropriate in the future, that comes boxed with additional material such as special magazines or foldouts, photos, etc.

Downloaded several games from the 2010 year. High definition, great quality and at the time $3.99. They've went up in price but not that big of a deal. haven't checked in the last 2-3 years , assuming they still offer downloads.

I'm going to look at XBMC and talk to a few folks. Have a feeling that I will be able to watch the games online.
