Mizzou's Rec Center

Complete with outdoor pool

Indoor pool, lazy river, waterfall, whirlpool, and sauna

Olympic sized swimming pool and high dive

7 full-court hardwood basketball courts

A cardio studio

A 3 story climbing tower (kinda hard to see here)

5 racquet ball courts (this is the only picture I could find)

An indoor suspended track

And weight room

As a bonus, just outside we have Stankowski Field, 3 all turf fields for rec sports that stays lit until 1am every night, surrounded by a 1/3 mile track

And four sand volleyball courts (the rec center is just in the background)

You've got a head start on us, but we're going to be catching up soon....

The new indoor running track is supposed to be the longest such course in the country. TIFWIW.

quote:

The SRC will have an indoor running trail just under a 1/2 mile in length, spanning 2 levels of the building. It will be the longest indoor running trail in a collegiate recreational facility.

quote:

The new sports fields will be ready for use in summer 2014. Students will be able to enjoy pieces of the project as the total construction progresses, and they will begin to see returns on their investments, she said. Around spring break, the UREC larger-scale expansion will take place, and the total expansion will be completed in 2016.
