I wish the Tuscaloosa REC would get to work. If they could get every TPD officer fired who's ever arrested a Bama football player, we'd be without a police force.
Glad the folks in Auburn know how to make a statement. "We won't tolerate these bullshite arrests."

It can't get much worse than being at Auburn, since you've already been in hell.
breaking story - Aubie doesn't kick you off the team for smoking pot...
I still find it funny that the NCAA basically says you can submit your own policy (testing and penalties) and the only requirement is that you adhere to what you submit.

Dyer leaves Aubbie, attends ASU with Malazahn... gets a ticket, and the trooper was FIRED....
Same story, different disciple!

Doesn't matter, the real story is the cop getting processed.

He's at auburn. They don't compromise the football team no matter how embarrassing it is. There's no story here.

Oh yes...exactly the same. The arresting officer in Dyer's case found a LOT of pot, an illegal gun, and Dyer was going 100 mph...and he let him off the hook for I think just about everything when he figured out who Dyer was. He was fired and Gus then booted Dyer off the team.
The arresting officer in Nick's case didn't do anything wrong in his citing of Nick...there was no issue with the arrest. He was fired for beating up his wife. Nick had never been in trouble before at Auburn, had a SMALL amount of weed, wasn't speeding, didn't have a gun. Yes, exactly alike.

UK and UGA have policies that suspend players for 10% of the season on the 1st offense, 50% for the 2nd, and dismissal for the 3rd.

I don't think you could make the update in the thread title any more misleading even if you tried.

um, not even close. It takes like 3 violations to get a suspension at Ole Miss.

Haven't read a lot of this thread, but I agree with Saban's views on kicking kids off and also think it applies to suspensions. For something like weed, a suspension or possible boot off the team isn't really going to do anything. Kids are gonna smoke, and I'd prefer my kids at home smoking a blunt than at a party doing a keg stand, if I were a HC.

I say run the hell out of them. Set up a lawn chair and blow a whistle till I'm tired. It may not be legal or smart to smoke pot, but a little self control and you can enjoy the green, without it effecting your career. So coach should run them so hard that they can piss clean after 3 days of sweating it all out.
