Even if he isn't suspended, Malzahn can't take him to media days. He's going to risk losing the team if he lets Marshall off scott free, and he will have a lot more discipline problems to deal with if the prisoners start running the asylum.
Nick Marshall won't be let off "scott free", he will have some form of punishment. It may just be the sandpit and hill (have fun, Nick) and not a suspension, but he's going to be going through hell soon enough. I say make him go to media day and own up to what he's done... Make him own up to the mistake.

I agree, make him go to media days so every reporter can ask him the same question 100000 different times.

What is up with teams in Georgia and thugs?

I've had a lot of fun with this thread, but TT, you're right. If he's not getting suspended, which I don't think he will, then this would be the most effective form of punishment. There's nothing like public humiliation.

Outside of what happened with Auburn's burglary ring and Bama's knockout crew, I am not in favor of suspensions for kids, especially non violent, non felony, common arrests like this as long as it's not a pattern and it's not DUI. He doesn't seem like a bad kid, only a stupid one. He will hopefully learn his lesson, again, and move on. Some kids just need a reminder from time to time about being dummies. He would not have been my first choice for media dsys any way because he's not that great of a public speaker to begin with.

Please, please let him go to media days. It won't be a proud day for people that actually attended Auburn.

Career student? Getting those gov't loans? Don't plan on paying them back? Think school should be free?

If not - congrats - consider yourself the thuggin exception.

Nope.

I don't owe the government a dime, and I plan on keeping it that way.

I think that would be cool, but our system isn't set up for that. Ideally, though, yes.

Not related to this situation, but al.com just ran a story about some of his past problems. His grandmother is quoted in the story saying Nick was just a lookout in the incident at Georgia and other people actually stole the property. I guess Georgia fans will have to stop repeating their bs about how he is such a thug for stealing from teammates
