They just started renovating that area this summer, I'm sure they will have this in some capacity.

The standing joke among LSU fans in regards to Ole Miss and Alabama is... "______ is the red brick building with the white columns. Can't miss it."

To be fair... Alabama has a few yellow brick buildings. But point noted.

When A&M renovated the MSC a couple years ago, they removed the bowling alley in favor of little HDTV nook things.

Well...I would wager a bet that the University Center (Student Union) at Tennessee would rank 14th out of 14. That is why they decided to do a massive renovation.

This is what it looked like before construction began 2 years ago.

Construction began in March 2012, and phase 1 will be completed sometime in 2015. Phase 2 is scheduled to finish in 2017.

This is what it looked like in 2012.

Top that...

The Ferg was a dump when I was a student in the 90's and it always had an odd smell. I guess from the cafeteria. Glad to see they're trying to spruce it up. I haven't been in there in at least 10 years.

My cousin and I joked for 3 years that the union would be ready just in time for our freshman year. Sure enough, it literally took that contractor years to finish it. We were convinced they enjoyed the tailgating spot.

I paid a BS student union fee every semester for 3 years while they were renovating it. Graduated and it still was not complete.

Longterm plan is for a new Alumni Center to be built on top of what is the open-air parking deck right now.

The renovation of the Colvard Union at Mississippi State is the biggest transformation of a building I have ever seen.

It was built for 5,000 students. When it opened, MSU had 7,000 students. When they decided to renovate it, there were 20,000 students.

Like the other poster said, its bigger than it looks. And there are bathrooms on the third floor (student life offices) that are always clean and it is the best place on campus to take a game day shite.

First and second floor bathrooms = long lines for rushed shites.
Third floor = 45 minute shites where you can watch football on your phone in peace.

Agree here. Wisconsin has a beautiful campus overall as well and Madison is a great town.

from the sounds of this thread, ours is on OM's level. I remember reading in our student paper a little while ago ours is the smallest union in the SEC and was renovated the longest ago of all other conference teams

Russell House is in desperate need of not only renovation but expansion. Its a piece of shite

Its was impossible to get Chick fil a or Chicken Finger Wednesday from 12-2

Its pretty cool to see the difference between your typical architecture of Universities in the southeast vs. Universities in the north.
