And your OC said...

Don't know what to tell ya, dude...that statement doesn't exactly confirm the claims of "a lotta insiders"...

And I don't know what the argument here is. Gamecock fans knew the CB position was going to be thin even before projected starter Ahmad Christian transferred out. We were all hoping that Victor Hampton would choose to come back for his senior yr., but that didn't happen (it almost cost him dearly too)...

We'll most likely utilize safety Brison Williams at CB early in the year until the younger CBs learn their roles. McWilliams was wowing the coaches and fellow players in preseason before 2012 before suffering his ACL, but has improved quickly and looks to be at 100% now. Rhodes is not a preferred option to be a starter as a walk-on, but is a senior and has shown he can contribute in a reserve role.

Groves and Jamari Smith were high 3* ATHs at prep that both showed talent as CBs in addition to playing WR and RB, and they'll perform fine. We'll have to hope that talented incoming freshmen DJ Smith and Harris can learn on the fly and at least provide supporting roles. If either can pick it up quickly we can possibly move Williams back to his safety spot and move forward.

But regardless we'll have a 3-deep at CB. No one thought much of Munnerlyn and converted WR Carlos Thomas back in the day, and they turned into a #1 SEC passing defense, so we'll see....

And it nullifies it somehow?? A member of your staff , the HC's son is telling y'all to expect a few more not gettin in... Thats prolly a little more damning than a few UGA homer insiders making claims...

Whatever... Good luck with them... Just yankin your chain...
