1985 and you know it. Bama winning the game on a 56 yard FG as time expired is a way cooler ending, than any of those fluke arse Auburn special team victories.

1985 blurb if that is preferred:

A two loss AU team featuring Bo Jackson was beaten by a 3 loss bama team at legion field. The game was relatively uneventful until a wild 4th quarter that saw 4 lead changes with bama winning on a longfield goal as time expired. Bama finished the season ranked 13 and AU finished unranked.

You gumps hash out which replaces 1971, 1990 or 1985.

Criteria is still a combination of stakes involved and how compelling the game is.

That field goal keeps getting longer and longer as the years go by. I think they count those yards like they count National Championships.
