My uncle claims this is the sign of an engine that is breathing right. He spent like 8 grand deleting his 08 cummins(5.9?) and throwing a chip and new exhaust on it. Thing is a monster. In power mode he as 620 hp at the clutch and 450 torques. At least thats what the shop that it did told him. He can "roll coal" so thick you could hide a car behind him.

Who is your uncle trying to impress? Anybody who sees that is gonna think he is a dumb arse. Then see the bama sticker and go...uh..ok I get it.

He is wrong. It is pushing way to much fuel into the motor to do that. All that black smoke is partially burned fuel and just wasting money it needs more air so it ain't breathing properly.
