Add in 2007 & 2012. I personally don't believe conference Championships should have an effect in rankings but thankfully the BCS is over with.

The SEC was dominate during the BCS era. Unfortunately Georgia lost critical games every year during that period that kept them out of the top 2 spots. As seen by the graphic, 2002 would have hypothetically using the BCS formula been the only year in which we would have had a shot in a 4 team playoff.

What's sad is how many whiney "we were so close" threads get posted on this board. Not sure what's worse, this or the obsessive posts about Auburn

I think UGA would have been voted in in 2012 based off the way that game went down and how we defeated Florida.
