Kids don't understand that sometimes recruiting is as much about making sure your opponent can't have that player as anything else. A lot of teams with talent to burn recruit kids that don't fit their system just to keep them away from fellow SEC schools where they do fit.
It's one the nastier sides of recruiting but it happens all the time and I doubt any team can say they've never, ever, done it.

Yeah, a huge right tackle doesn't fit Bama, we were just scared what he would in the Ole Miss offense.
