I remember watching that game as a kid. Florida had the game won till the last seconds. Back then, Florida never beat Georgia. Heartbreaking defeat for the Gators.

Florida football did not exist in 1980, pre-Spurrier.

Supposedly, Georgia's radio commentator, Larry Munson, got so excited about the big play at the end that he just started shouting "Lindsay Scott, Lindsay Scott, Lindsay Scott!" and forgot to tell the radio audience that UG had scored for like 1:30. Most people probably figured it out though.
