Bama is Vito Corleone, of course.

auburn is Frank Pantangeli. Establishes himself with his own lesser family, but in the end, can't follow through when older brother shows up.

Vandy is Tom Hagen. Needs no explanation.

Florida is Hyman Roth - major player in his own right, looks like he has taken over but falls short in the end.

Tennessee is Fredo. Older brother, longtime Corleone, but essentially powerless and ridiculous.

South Carolina is Carlo. They tried to get into the family through marriage (Spurrier), but they're no real Corleone.

LSU is Sonny. No argument here - legit Corleone, but bat shite crazy.

A&M/ Johnny Manziel is Joey Zasa (had to pull in G III for this one, but it's too perfect not to use).

Arkansas is Luca Brasi. All we really know about Luca is he's fat and now he sleeps with the fishes.

UGA is Moe Greene - sort of a player, but just unlucky.

Kentucky is Johnny Fontane - nothing really to do with the family's main business, but really famous in a whole other line of work.

That's all I've got.

The best was how you refused to capitalize Auburn, but managed to for every other school.

All of yours are pretty spot on. Not crazy about Auburn as Pantangeli but then I could totally see Pat Dye starting a war and then subsequently falling on his sword to clean up the mess he's made

SCAR was in the family long before Spurrier came to town here.

SCAR is Willie Cici. Clemenza's hit man, a lieutenent soldier, loyal to the family to the core and always willing to take out a family head when needed. Made our bones the old fashioned way ... by earning them.

(Willie Cici shot the guy in the revolving door, took Sal on his last ride, etc.)
