If your SEC school had a Men's Soccer team, would you support it?

I think only UK and USCe field teams at the present time. If your school fielded a team, would you go see them play? Would conference rivalries help interest like it does in other non-revenue sports like baseball and T&F?
Why doesn't the SEC have this program? All the other conferences do.
Just curious what some think about it.

I have never used this before but the time is right - GTFO.
Soccer is a girl's sport.

Yes. We should drop baseball and add soccer

I would go to a ton of LSU Soccer matches if we had a team. I wish the SEC would pick up this sport.

Vandy has a team, no???

Would be impossible in Texas. State law prohibits communist sports on campus.

I would definitely go to a few matches every year

No. I would rather watch the quidditch team.

No...I would not spend money to travel to games and go see it. I may see it if it happened to be going on while I was seeing something else. Plus it would never be televised.
So basically I would just check the box score every once in a while. The same way I follow the other minor sports like Softball, Tennis, Golf, Women's basketball, etc.

If I was a student, yes.
Now, hell no.
A college soccer game on a crappy field with 50 people in teh stands isn't the same as everyone getting pumped for the world cup every 4 years.

No. I'm from a rural area where the idea of my high school's soccer team was to simply field one so that all football players who didn't play baseball/run track in the spring could stay in shape. I played one year when I was 6 because I wasn't old enough to play football yet (rec leagues offered soccer in the fall). I scored the first goal in our county's inaugural soccer league, then bowed out. Forever.
I know it's wildly popular in suburban America, but soccer really bores me. I respect the hell out of the condition soccer players are in, but they're physically laughable, there is no flow to the game, and they flop more than NBA players.

Id go to plenty of matches. The LSU hooliganism would be awesome

I would cheer for them and be a fan, but hell no I wouldn't go to any of the games. There is a reason that people watch the Premier League over the MLS, the talent disparity is noticeable. A start up LSU soccer team would be like me going to watch my friends kick around a soccer ball.
Now if LSU was a top collegiate program in soccer or if America began to have top athletes playing soccer, then sure I'd watch. Love watching the sport, just not people who are bad at it.

If we had a team, I would support it. However, college soccer is detrimental to our national team, so I would like for college soccer to only be for guys that don't really have a future in the sport.

I attended several women's soccer games when at UA. They were pretty fun, actually. More fun than baseball
