What makes it a big deal is now Old Waverly is the home course for Mississippi State, which is arguably the nicest course in the state.


It will help State recruit well enough for them to compete at the highest level in golf.


You would think that Ole Miss would have a good golf team because of the type of crowd our school draws, but it's all about home courses and facilities. The OM golf course is probably the worst home course in the league, and there isn't an elite course within an hour of campus. It's why we suck and will continue to suck.

not to mention that two of the best swing instructors in the south are at Waverly

Yeah, awhile back when I was looking into the "who's who" of SEC golf, I was really surprised at just how bad Ole Miss is at golf considering how proud the fanbase is about class and whatnot
