What makes it a big deal is now Old Waverly is the home course for Mississippi State, which is arguably the nicest course in the state.
It will help State recruit well enough for them to compete at the highest level in golf.
You would think that Ole Miss would have a good golf team because of the type of crowd our school draws, but it's all about home courses and facilities. The OM golf course is probably the worst home course in the league, and there isn't an elite course within an hour of campus. It's why we suck and will continue to suck.

It's going to be top notch.
Also, Waverly is breaking ground on a new course that should be completed in the next couple of years. It's going to be even nicer than the current.
