it's turned baseball at the CWS into what team is the luckiest, waiting for the other team to make an error, or trying to score without having the ball leave the infield.

I agree that the stadium is too big, etc, etc, but that's a little off.

Luck and playing error free is not the same. Also, just because there have been no home runs doesn't mean that there haven't been XBH.

haven't been many. when outfielders can play at an extremely shallow depth like they do at TDA, you narrow the gaps in the outfield and shorten the gaps between the infield and outfielders. you basically make it extremely hard to hit doubles in the gap as well as making it difficult to hit singles that aren't groundballs through the infield. the only way to have an XBH really is hitting it down the line. I can think of only two or three balls hit that went over the outfielder's head. that's just not how baseball is designed to be played. shite, vanderbilt attempted three or four bunts in the first inning against irvine. i've seen batters try to bunt for hits with 2 outs and no one on base. you basically force teams into playing small ball. that should not be a necessity to win a baseball tournament. sure, it can work for some teams, but all teams shouldn't be forced to win one specific way. the biggest flaw is the fact that pitchers do not have to worry about hitters squaring bad pitches up. they can throw meat over the middle all game and get through it without surrounding more than a couple runs.

I would rather watch World Cup Soccer over the CWS right now
There was nothing wrong with the 09/10 bats, there was no need to go to the BBCOR at all.

If not in Omaha, the crowds would be embarrassing.
Omaha has every reason to support it and will continue to do so but even the crowds at UCLA/MSU had a lot of empty seats last year.
