I hate TD Ameritrade, and the current bats, and here's why

Eventually they're going to have to change something. It's killing popularity.

The winds aren't helping either, but yeah...

Bring the fences in about 10-15 ft + new ball (goes about 15-20 ft farther)
???
Profit

Or hell just go back to the bats we used in 2010, those were absolutely perfect

It is absolutely ruining the game. I find myself watching less and less of the college world series without the threat of a home run.

Lowering the laces on the baseball will help and I think I read thats going to happen soon. Also heard they were going to bring in center field and the alleys.

They clearly designed the ball park with the old bats in mind

Every complaint is valid (I assume, didn't read).

Taking away power, quite frankly sucks.

College baseball is killing itself at a time it's poised to take off.

It's really a shame--CWS is easily the most watched even of the season on a national scale and it's incredibly boring.

I used to always watch the CWS. Haven't since the new bats. When a pitcher hangs a slider or curve, and it's an out, paired with the center fielder playing so close to second base, that's not baseball.

ETA:

They should go back to the 2010 bat. It weighed a little more, but still had some pop.

I thought I read that the new bats do perform like wooden bats. They were scientifically tested etc.

If thats true then maybe what you are seeing is the talent level in college ball, especially at the plate, being exposed.

Honestly not trying to rip on college baseball but that has to be as reasonable explanation as everything else being complained about stadiums, wind, bats....

Rosenblatt made the CWS the CWS.

TD Ameritrade is a gorgeous stadium, but unless they change the bats again there will never be a lot of homeruns there. The new college balls will be here next season, but they will not create a significant increase in homeruns. They will, however, create more hits for two reasons, increased velocity off the bat, and pitchers will have less ability to manipulate the movement of the ball..due to increased aerodynamics. But I agree, the BBCOR bats are a disgrace to the game.

Don't you get me started on the small ball chit. I swear every ball you guys hit against us in the championship series went into the ground 2 feet in front of home plate and 100 feet in the air. Never been so damn aggravated.

Can't blame it all on that though because your pitching was outstanding.
