So you think Pruitt can do the same thing with our defense that he did with fsu and if so what makes you think that?

Nothing
At least not in year one. IMO

I don't think we'll get the same D production as FSU did, simply because we don't have what they did last year, we are razor thin in teh secondary, and we're essentially having to start from square 1, instruction wise.
However, look at last year's numbers between us and FSU against clemson. Keep in mind, ours was in teh first game so we had 8 months to gameplan and we had a relatively well stocked unit (relative to this year anyway).
CU 2013 averages/vs FSU/vs UGA:
Rushing- 175/123/197
Passing-333/203/270
Scoring- 40/14/38
Last year, we let CU surpass their rushing average, we held them 60 yds below their passing avg, and right at their scoring average.
FSU on teh other hand, held them to 50 yards below their rushing, 130 below their passing, and 25 below their scoring. Sure FSU's D last year was better than ours, but those numbers didn't happen simply because they had a few more athletes on defense. It's remarkable what having a competent and capable coach can do for a unit.
Last year Todd Grantham had never seen any film on clemson before in his life. Pruitt has broken down game film on them less than 12 months ago, and he was incredibly successful.
I'm not saying we're gonna win easily, but I don't see any way you can look at this game on paper and say we don't have the decided advantage. They dont' have Boyd, they don't have Watkins and Bryant, they lost their #1 RB, they lost a key piece or 2 from defense, and it's not at death valley at night. Everything about this game, with the one exception of our safeties, points decidedly in our favor.
