Well that's just untrue

Sorry maybe my eyes are failing...did you list a group of coaches fulmer played against in one season that was better in your post? Because I don't see it.

He definitely played a season against all those coaches except Erickson so I wouldn't say that's "not even close", I will do further research and see if we played a coach comparable to Erickson in OOC play and get back to you

in 2001, Fulmer coached against Saban, Richt, Spurrier, Saban again, and Carr who i would compare to Erickson

he lost 2 games

in 2004 Fulmer coached against Meyer, Tubs, Richt, and tubs again

In 2005 Fulmer coached against Meyer, Miles, Richt and Spurrier

In 2006 Fulmer faced Tedford, Meyer, Richt, Spurrier, Miles, and Paterno

in 2007 he faced Tedford, Meyer, richt, saban, spurrier, and miles

in 2008 he faced Meyer, tubs, richt, saban, and spurrier

Upon further review i think the following argument is shite, keep in mind i haven't once advocated that fulmer was better than richt i just thought your point was a hollow one

quote:

Richt had to coach against dennis erickson, nick saban, urban meyer, phil fulmer, steve spurrier, and tubs. Fulmer never had to face anything close to that gauntlet.
