Well Im straight, and I think he had his civil union turned into a marriage recently. Its really wonderful that more states are opening up to same sex marriage. I would have thought when that burden was lifted off him it would have made his disposition a little sunnier, but maybe its true that all married folks are bitter.

hey buddy, you are really starting to show your ignorance.

Next time someone comments on how much Cleveland sucks, respond by saying "it may be a shithole, but it's my shithole."

Except it isnt a shite hole at all. Its a pretty cool city. Certainly better than every city in the south not named New Orleans or Atlanta.

Nashville?
Some argue that East Texas is southern, so Houston and Dallas?
Charleston? Charlotte?
Jacksonville is a pretty cool city. very southern. Nice beaches.

So Cal let his minions be sources so it didn't look like no one wanted him in the NBA? What an attention whore.

I wonder how many recruits mentioned something about no NBA teams trying to hire him before he decided to come forward with this?

Of course this never came out while he was actually in negotiations or considering the offer? How convenient. I love the "deep" discussions part. How does that never occur with any other high profile coach? Amazing!

There's plenty of places in the South I'd rather be than any portion of Ohio that I've been to post burning river era.

Heck, I'd rather be in Spuds, FL than in Ohio.

Seems big gator has some feelings of Cal.

And this has happened with big profile coaches. See K with the Lakers and Izzo with the Cavs. And don't think NBA teams are talking with Billy in secret.

I don't have any issues with anybody, I just call it like I see it. The Laker's courting of Coach K was very public. The students sent him letters and held vigils. Everyone also knew about Izzo considering Cleveland and he went public with his decision immediately.

I am asking why it was a secret until now?

I don't believe Donovan's name came up "publicly" in some of these searches but he said he had gotten calls from the NBA in a recent press conference.

That all said, Cal's name came up with Cleveland, especially with the potential of Lebron's return. It came out in May that the Cavs were interested and not long after Cal made the comment about potentially coaching in Cleveland.

So I'm not sure what you're claiming as a secret. I'm not surprised deal specifics didn't come out until after the denial though.
