AU's pbp is the only announcing team more homerific and terrible than Eli. That's not a very good thing.

You should listen to David "Yellum" Kellum

I've worked with several of the radio crews in the SEC, so I have to give my two cents.

Rod might be the best in the league going nuts in the big moment. You'll get amped up listening to him call a tense moment, like you should. When Auburn isn't playing well, Sad Rod is not good.

Scott Howard is great at UGA, and I love these people talking about homers on the radio. It's not supposed to be an unbiased broadcast, and I think that's what makes the SEC great. Obviously it's cool when guys get excited for both teams (Gene Deckerhoff at FSU), but if you're listening to the Georgia Network, don't expect to hear them slob the knob of the team they're playing.

Kellum at OM is pretty solid as well, not flashy, but he gets the job done. Haven't listened to too much of him though.

Mick Hubert is in the same boat as RB. Big moment Mick is awesome, but he can get down in the dumps when the Gators aren't doing well.

Todd Ellis is fun to listen to, and he's got a really good relationship with his color guy. Since he's in the rare role of being a former player doing play-by-play, he gets even more invested in the game emotionally than other guys.

Tom Leach at UK is one of the more technically good guys we've got in the SEC. He's really good. Love listening to him.

Haven't listened to much of too many other guys, but if we're on the subject of being too much of a homer, it doesn't get any worse than UGA. I don't know of another crew that says "We" except maybe the Bama crew, but they don't do it as much. Again, I love announcers for your school being homers though, so that's not really a criticism.
