Every article, every list. SEC this, SEC that. You have to admit, If you were a fan of another conference, you would hate the SEC hype.
Though it is earned, there is waaaaaaay more talk about the SEC than all the other conferences combined.
I would link about 1000 articles just from this week but there is not enough bandwidth on SECR.

It's kinda funny.
The way some of y'all feel about the SEC is very similar to the way many of us feel about--and catch hell for--the state of Texas.
As for what others outside of the SEC think about the lists, articles, etc. ... it's easy to focus on what you're interested in and to avoid other stuff. Things don't feel as SEC-centric to non-SEC people.

Read the comments of every ESPN article or any article for that matter, they all hate the SEC.

Mizzou and Aggies have some insight here, being noobs from the Big 12. Personally I always love good football and have recognized the greatness of the SEC for years. I know for a fact though that many in our fanbase pre-move hated the SEC. Me I am just happy as could be to be here.

SEC gets the hype. While the big 10 gets the money and is full of AAU member schools. Big 10 has it the best imo, but I am still happy being SEC.

I have to agree. It's good to be in the SEC.
But if I were a fan of another conference, I would be saying the same things they do. Top heavy, etc...

Just think how much more hype there'd be if the coach of a certain, unmentioned, team didn't drive the bus off the cliff for the SEC's National Championship winning streak??

Just think about it. Before it was the Big 10 with Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, etc, and Big 12 with Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and such.
Thing is, the older powers think they have the right to still be on top. Their shite was the talk of the nation, obviously it didn't have as much media exposure as it does now, but that is only because of the social media boom that started about 5 years ago.
I can't remember if the chants started in 06 or 07, but you could slowing feel the shift of the CFB world. It felt more like school and conference pride instead of just school pride. We were blowing away the competition at every bowl season, recruiting the hell out of our own talent instead of them being plucked from other conferences, and sending kids to the NFL at an enormous rate. Four different SEC schools have went to the National Championship and won since 2006. You don't see that kind of power ever grouped together. USCe, Bama, LSU, UF, UGA, could run through every other conference on most years. TAMU with a couple more recruiting seasons, will be right there. Tennessee will be back in three years tops which gives you have the conference that would beat most of conferences.

Several years ago I watched games from all conferences and knew what was going on with them. All I watch is SEC now. Nothing else is interesting.
