Tons of nice new hotels in Columbus. 25 miles away. I'm sure that's where Aub (team) will be located.

Th Hilton Garden, La Quinta, and Hampton are the closest to stadium.

hilton garden inn is right by campus and like two years old.

WHY would you go to this game of all games? Auburn ought to get hazardous duty pay for having to even set foot in Starkvegas.

Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Suites are all along highway 12 and near the campus...comfort suites is walking distance to the stadium, but I am sure it is already booked...I have stayed at all of those mentioned and all are good places to stay...
also, there is a very small town nearby called West Point that has a very nice Hampton, but the town is so small that there is nothing much to eat there...that Hampton is always cheap and fills up last due to its location....
much larger town about a half hour away is Columbus and there are a good number of nice hotels there as well as resturants...

West Point and Columbus are fine places to stay. If you stay in West Point hit up Anthony's downtown, it is phenomenal.
Starkville has the veranda, mugshots, restaurant Tyler, the grill, Harvey's, Strombolis, bin 612, stagger inn, lil dooeys, and city bagel to name a few
Columbus has J. Broussards, Harvey's, profits porch, the grill, Zachary's, Hucks, old hickory steak house the front door/back door, cafe on main.
People can hate all they want on Starkville and the surrounding area but there is plenty of good places to eat and some very beautiful homes and property (especially in Columbus) also the gameday atmosphere has improved leaps and bounds over the past few years and our campus is looking better and better.
Hope you enjoy your visit

You're 6 months late on booking a hotel room in starkville probably.

You can stay at Waverly in West Point and you'll be able to play there if you play golf.
That's the tentative plan for me at the moment. Only problem is the logistics of getting back and forth from the bar because I'm sure that cab ride would be steep as hell.

Bring ear plugs and a clothes pin.
And MUST KEEP HEAD STRAIGHT AHEAD.
If you don't, if you turn you head a zillionth of a centimeter, even INVOLUNTARILY, that is considsered an insult, and those Things will ring their little bells right behind your ear lobes JUST because you flinched your head.
