John L was goofy and that season sucked as did last. But that particular press conference which understandably got ridiculed was right after he found out his brother had died I'm almost positive. Maybe his point was something like be happy you're alive, life is good, etc. but it just came out wrong- or maybe I'm just making lemonade out of a lemon.

Dubose is actually a pretty good comparison to chizik... except GC didn't have the off field shite (unless you count the felony four).
