Looking for ideas here, What do you do after work? After working out I pretty much can't wait to get tired so I can wake up and go to work. It gets real boring sometimes.

And yes I know the married people cherish there alone time but if I'm not doing something with friends I'm borderline depressed it seems like.

Disclaimer that most of my friends are married and I got out of a long relationship a few months ago

I work out or play golf basically every day after work, usually golf with at least one friend or co worker. Typically get home make dinner and eat and by that time it's like 9 or 9:30. Watch TV and post shite on here then go to bed

Since you obviously have no intellectual life, just go out. There's no shame in going to bars and restaurants alone, and I've had way better luck meeting people that way than going out with friends.

If you're not wanting to date at the moment, find something you wished you had always done, and start doing it. I.E. like a hobby, such as learning something new.

Take a class. That's where I like to meet new people. I've discovered I'm more likely to meet people with similar interests there. It works.

Get a dog. Definitely makes up for the time I'm not out with my friends and keeps me busy.

You could also get a part time job. May as well make some extra money during your down time.

I'm married and I travel for a living and love going to bars and restaurants alone. I will take a book and go to a bar and be giddy.

I'm pretty anti social but don't particularly enjoy sitting in a hotel room alone.

I think getting into fishing, golfing, biking, marathons would be awesome. I'm in better shape than I've been in a decade, but I do exercise and hobbies far less than I want.

Don't waste your youthfulness.

Volunteer

Drink night out once a week 4 cocktails and dinner at an upscale watering hole.

write an article for a business magazine.

Do one thing different every week on a different day doesn't matter what but, document it.

Buy a hat.

You will be happily engaged in six months tops....

I'm out messing around in the gardens, horse riding, etc. Occasionally I go visit a buddy who's miserable in his marriage, kids getting in all kinds of trouble - just to remind me what I'm missing.

I'm always amazed at how many people have literally zero hobbies.

Never. Some people think they might be bored if they retire early. Not me, I'd cherish every minute of my free time and do whatever the frick I want to do.

Reading is good.

You said you already work out right? So if you get home around 5:30, work out for an hour, hell at that point you've only got a few hours to kill anyway. Put together a list of some of the best novels of all time (or just ones in an area that interests you) and knock those out. Same with movies, get netflix or something and start watching shows/documentaries/movies in areas you like.

Learn to cook. It's a fun way to pass the time, the end result is good bc you eat it, it's a lifetime skill you'll always have, plus it looks really, really good to women if you can cook.
