why not ban automation and machines?


I mean that has gotten rid of way more jobs than immigration... since we're throwing out arguments that are completely devoid of any sort of intelligence and that just pander to bias

Wow, you're sensitive about that. Are you Mexican?

Banning automation and machines would help increase wages in some fields, but that would mean stifling innovation, and the jobs done by machines aren't going to command very high wages in any free market.

Limiting immigration would raise wages and encourage more automation. And that's at least progress towards a sustainable model.

Never-ending population growth is the other choice, which is not sustainable. You know, while we're talking about things that are "stupid".

Having local labor compete against a bottomless third world labor pool is going to depress wages. That's a big part of the problem we have right now.
